So there’s some controversy in the Christian community about Halloween. I agree that it has an evil foundation and I do not agree in any way with it’s origin. On the other hand I don’t want my daughter not to have fun dressing up and collecting a ton of candy. So first step in this festive night is talking my 2 yr. old into keeping her costume on. This took much effort, but after alot of screaming and crying, she gave in. So we dressed Bella Boo up, went to the grandparent’s house, and then found a Harvest Festival to go to. We had a blast and didn’t expose our 2 year old to vampires, witches, or any of the scary creatures walking our streets last night. I really don’t think she is ready for that yet and I’m not ready to explain what they are. Maybe next year.
Our friends Josh and Faith brought along there beautiful daughters Livie and Ava (Ava is not shown, she was cozy inside of a front pack). So I just want to say to my Christian community, if someone you know celebrated Halloween to the tee or hid inside there house and fasted all night, be kind, don’t judge, and don’t be haters! Respect each other and share the love man!!!!!! Trust me we can spend our time on alot more important things! Hope you enjoy the pic’s!!!!
p.s. and yes this is our same costume from last year, it still fit and it has got to be my favorite so far!

Becky,
I totally agree with you on the whole Halloween thing. I don’t want my children exposed to the “evil” that goes along with the holiday, but I want them to be able to dress up, roast marshmellows, got to Harvest Festivals, etc. I think you and Trey are taking a very balanced approach. I love Bella’s costume and loved it last year. It is the cutest pumpkin costume I have ever seen. I especially love the picture of her having a melt down. That is so real.
Hope you have a great week. Love, LeighAnne
That is one beautiful little girl if I do say so myself.
Great post babe!
Don’t you love blogging. Your pictures are cute.
